Save to Ramekin Privacy Notice

Effective August 1, 2026

What the extension reads

Save to Ramekin accesses the active public web page only after you choose its toolbar button or saved mobile-browser button. It reads the page address and structured Recipe metadata embedded in that page. When structured metadata is unavailable, it may read a bounded visible recipe containing the title, ingredient lines, directions, and yield. It does not upload arbitrary page HTML.

How the information is used

The captured recipe information is sent over HTTPS only to Ramekin so you can review and import the recipe into your own library. It is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Temporary browser storage

The extension temporarily keeps captured recipe metadata in browser session storage while opening the Ramekin import screen. The mobile-browser button carries the same bounded data only through the tab being redirected to Ramekin. The temporary copy is removed after delivery. These tools do not use persistent content scripts and do not read browsing history, passwords, cookies, or credentials.

Information saved by Ramekin

Nothing is added to your recipe library until you confirm the import. Once confirmed, the recipe and its source address are stored with your Ramekin account so the saved recipe can be displayed and used for meal planning and shopping lists.
